I want to help make your birth healthier.
I have done this work for a long time. The biggest discrepancy I see in care is the inability to help women truly remain healthy enough to have the birth that they desire.
This program was designed to encourage my clients to receive the out-of-hospital services that I know can improve birth outcomes. For both mom & baby.
My hope is, by encouraging these services, we will see a decrease in:
Inductions
Interventions needed during birth
Complications like hypertension, pre-e, & gestational diabetes
Babies in the NICU
Cesareans
Traumatic births
Breastfeeding issues
Postpartum hemmorhage
Long, exhausting births
Instrument use like forceps & vacuum
How does it work?
Clients can receive a $100 discount per service that they use that are listed below. These can be combined with my other discounts for a total discount of up to $300.
Maybe you are already using these services prior to hiring me, great! You will receive the discounts right up front.
But if you aren’t, don’t worry. I can always add the discounts later and they will come off of the balance due.
Here is the catch though, none of these discounts will apply if you schedule an elective induction. Elective means an induction based off of the perceived risk that something could happen. That could look like being told your pregnancy is risky just because you hit a certain date even though everything is healthy. Or scheduling one to ensure your doctor delivers. Or wanting one because you are uncomfortable or it fits your schedule. Inductions are known to make birth more complicated & lead to adverse outcomes. It is different if you medically need one. But for the sake of this program I cannot offer a discount if someone is choosing an induction that is not medically indicated.
So what are these services you keep mentioning?
Webster chiropractic care: this has been proven to improve mom’s immune system, leading to an overall healthier pregnancy. It can also help baby get into optimal position for birth, which can reduce the need for birth interventions. For the sake of this program your chiro must be Webster certified, meaning they are specially trained to work with pregnant women.
Pelvic floor physical therapy: this type of therapy can provide women with techniques to prepare the pelvic floor for pregnancy, birth, & beyond. It can help reduce pushing time & reduce risks of tearing as well.
Out-of-hospital midwifery care: this could look like either employing a home birth midwife because you will be having your baby at home. Or hiring one for complementary care to a hospital birth. Home birth midwives know how to make pregnancies healthy and keep moms low risk. This can be achieved through tailored support with supplements, diet, and exercise. As well as spending ample time with moms during appointments and checking in on mental & emotional health.
Health share ministries: This is an alternative to traditional medical insurance. It has been proven that families who use this type of medical coverage tend to shop around for healthier options & have more control over things like providers & modes of treatment, leading to better outcomes.

I have a page on my site that lists practitioners in the area.
-
I can provide you a list of services that may be lower price, discounted, or covered by insurance.
-
I would encourage you to contact me first to talk through why you feel compelled to do this. Otherwise, I will add the cost of the discounts back onto your invoice & the amount will be due before day-of services are provided.

While I do see an increase in some outcomes with midwifery care in hospitals it is not perfect. Hospitals can limit what information practitioners can share with patients. Out-of-hospital support ensures there is no limitation to the information that is shared with patients.
